2009-2010 Results

The 2009-2010 season brought some disappointments in losing key handlers Alex Benedict and Danielle Fortin (both captains from the previous year), but brought forth some new emerging talent. We started the season with more than half a team of rookie players, who were determined to learn the ropes quickly.

The Lady Gee Gees started off the fall winning for Canadian Easterns, as well as working as a team to beat McGill in the finals at the Canadian University Ultimate Championships in Montreal.

However, the 2010 winter/spring season brought some struggles - we battled hard in the cold and rain at Philly Classic in Manheim PA in March, with players finally getting to experience throwing against some tough winds (after our indoor practices through the winter months). Centex was a great experience for our newbie players (everyone got a whoooole lot of playing time with only 12 players attending). While the result wasn't our season highlight, we always love having the opportunity to play against strong teams.

Our spring season finished with 3rd place in the Metro-East Region, leaving us out of the running for College UPA's. We had hard fought battles against UPenn, beating them to get to the "game-to-go", and a tough loss to Maryland in the war to be #2.

Needless to say, the Lady Gee Gees are taking their losses in stride, and are more determined than ever to have a fantastic year-round showing.
